Scanning is almost done!

I'm starting to upload the pictures and letters I've scanned to my Picassa albums.  I'll try to upload a couple of albums a week (there are thousands of documents/photos, so be patient)...

The first set are letters from the Aiken family. You can find the letters here.  The Aikens were friends of Margaret Millers and I speculate that W. George Miller was the "Walter Miller" that Margaret dated for a number of years.

Jesse Edward Aiken, 94 of Pinecrest, Hickory, died June 2, 2004 at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Born April 2, 1910 in Littleton, NC, he was a son of the late Jesse Buxton Aiken and Nelle Jenkins Aiken.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Robert Shoffner.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marshall and William Aiken; one sister Mary Barber; and one beloved uncle, Otis Aiken.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Miller Aiken of the home; four (Five)daughters, Carolyn Landress of Florida, Nelle Jacobson of Washington, Elaine Myers of Hickory, Linda Aiken of Florida and Mary Arthur of Quorn, England.
Bass-Smith Funeral Home is serving the family.
