This one is the birth certificate of Johann Jürgen Heinrich Jastram, husband of Auguste Wilhelmine Maria Schuldt and my 3rd Great Grandfather.  I wish this one stated his mothers name.  I believe her name to be Doris, but do not have primary documents to support that.

This one is really interesting as it says my 3rd Great Grandmother Auguste Maria Wilhelmine Schuldt was born out of wedlock.  As far as we know her parents never married.  Amalie, her mother, apparently had another child, Louis Schultz of whom we know very little.

Auguste Maria Wilhelmine Schuldt, uneheliche Tochter der Amalie Schuldt in Kleinow und angeblich des Schlachtergesellen August Rohloff, ist, dem hiesigen Kirchenbuche zufolge, im Jahre eintausend achthundert und sechsunddreißig am achtzehnten Tage des Monats April (1836, Apr. 18) hieselbst geboren und am 22sten desselben Monats getauft worden: was hierdurch sub fide pastorali bescheinigt wird.

Auguste Maria Wilhelmine Schuldt, illegitimate daughter of Amalie Schuldt in Kleinow and alledgedly of the journeyman butcher August Rohloff, was born here, according to the local church registry book, in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirtysix on the eighteenths day of the month of April (1836, April 18) and baptized on the 22nd of the same month: which is herewith certified sub fide pastoralis.

I believe these are both Baptismal/Godparent documents for Johann Friedrich Phillip Muller.

 In a very exciting development, I'm finally getting around to having our old German documents from the Miller side of the family transcribed and translated by Gerda Dinwiddie

Because these documents are handwritten, and sometimes illegible, not all the words can be accurately transcribed, but I think Gerda did a great job!

Here's the first one, the birth certificate of Johann Friedrich Phillip Müller:

ehelicher Sohn des hier verstorbenen Zimmermanns Friedrich Christian Müller und seiner Ehefrau jetzt verehl. (verehelicht) Dahms, geb. Buwolian(?)/Lurolien(?) Maria Dühmke, ist hieselbst geboren am sechsten Juni Achtzehn Hundert Sieben und Fünfzig / den 6. Juni 1857.
Solches wird auf Gnade des heiligen Kirchenbuchs, behufs Auswanderung nach Amerika, hiemit amtlich bescheinigt.

This is officially certified herewith through the grace of the holy church record book, for the purpose of emigration to America.

Comments: 


Regarding "Buwolian(?)/Lurolien(?)" - This is actually Caroline (or maybe Carolian?).  We know she spelled her name Caroline when she came to the U.S., but who knows how it would have originally been spelled.  It's a very difficult word to read in the document.  This document also confirms that Freidrich was a carpenter and that he was Caroline's first husband and that she married 2nd, a man with the last name of Dahms.
